Additional EZ pages Sidebox

I have a customer that would like to add another sidebox in addition to the current EZpages sidebox. I have already done this with the add-on for the Pages Generator and hard-coded these into the site, but the client wants an easier way to create pages so that all of the EZ pages do not fall into the one sidebox.

You can see an example at their site: https://www.mydetoxfootbath.com. I have the "Product Info" set up under the Define Pages Editor and the "Company Info" under the EZ Pages. Basically, they want all of this under the EZ Pages so somehow I need a new heading that these EZ Pages can fall into.

Re: Additional EZ pages Sidebox

I "got rid" of the "Information" sidebox and placed all its links in EZPages areas by doing this:

Call up a link in the "Information" sidebox - EG: Contact Us

Look in your browser address bar... it will say something like:

http://www.YOURSITE.COM/index.php?main_page=contact_us

Clip this bit...

index.php?main_page=contact_us

Then, create an EZPages "PAGE" called Contact Us, but make it an INTERNAL LINK PAGE. (see the bottom of the EZPage editor screen)

Simply paste:

index.php?main_page=contact_us

into the Internal Link URL

Make sure your EZPage has a sort order, then you can decide where to put it.

If you do the above with ALL the links in the "Information" sidebox, you now have EZPages LINKS, and you can put them in the footer, header or sidebox (or a combination of all 3).

Then you can disable the "Information" sidebox.

I have done this at Karens Cakes website (see my sig below)

Re: Additional EZ pages Sidebox

I have created additional links before, but I need to have separate sideboxes with EZ Pages in them. Is this possible?

Re: Additional EZ pages Sidebox

I don't think it will be very EZ to "clone" the EZPages function, as it is quite heavily integrated with the database.

Best bet may be to use the Blank Sidebox add-on and hard-code the links of the specific EZpages.
