How to use addthis instead of tell a friend?

How would I go about changing the "tell a friend" template to use the addthis.com facility for better syndication. I took a look into it but got out of my depth. I would like to retain the customisation of tell a friend through the admin features, just substitute the "Tell a Friend" button with the addthis code instead.

You can see an example of the addthis button on our store. Not sure if I'm allowed to link here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The add this code can be applied to any part of the site. You can add it to the tpl_product_info_display page and use the CSS to style it or align it left or right.

Re: How to use addthis instead of tell a friend?

Thanks for the steer, I created an override file and just inserted the code I needed to include in the same place as the original tell a friend section and it works perfectly.

See example usage on the site http://www.boundtoimpress.com.au/shop
