is there a easier and faster way to add size?

Hi, I know that if you want to add sizes you go in to the attribute controller and add it size by size every time, but all my product needs about 8 sizes and in different quantity. It takes way too much time to have to go through that process every time, is there a easier way to do this? thanks in advance!

Do,

Copying Attributes to Other Products or Categories You can copy the attributes from one product to another product or to every product in a category. The attribute images and any other attribute options for price or weight also get copied and can be edited once copied.
At the top of the attributes controller are several self explanatory buttons to other sections of the admin
the last two are both COPY TO the first is to a product the second to a category

  • click COPY TO (product or category depending on your preference)
  • in the large scroll box choose the category or product you want to copy the selected product attributes to

You then have 3 options

  • delete first, then copy new attributes - this will delete any attributes attached to the products your copying to then it will add the new attributes
  • update with new attribute images/settings/prices, then adds the new attributes
  • ignore and add only new attributes - this will not alter any existing attributes, it will only add new ones

select one of the above and click COPY
the admin will notify you if this has been successful or not at the top of the screen

  1. Test on your test site first and see if the above works for you.
  2. Be careful this is great but only test one product first, and notice the changes before copying all to every product

Re: is there a easier and faster way to add size?

Hi Haredo
thanks for the tips, it works well, it does save a lot of time, but I was wondering if there were things like easy populate so that I can edit the size as different styles might not all have the same quantity for a specific size, so I think a spreadsheet would be the most efficient way, I don't see attribute as an option tho.

Do,
Take a look in the free addons tabs for

  1. Stock by attribute
