confused about removing sales message goes here

I have repeatedly tried to change message using the tutorial on
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=127 and have changed the top of the page but not managed to remove the message on the home page. Am I misinterpreting this or am I just lost
Please help.

Are you editing the file at
includes/languages/english/classic/header.php???
And uploading the edited file to that location?

Notice the path to edit which Kobra stated:

1. includes/languages/english/classic/header.php
2. this is the header.php you will edit and upload back to the server
3. take time to read about the override system
4. classic will fight you big time when you upgrade
