Show sub catagories on main

Hello,
I am having this problem and have made the changes in product listings and layout settings. I still do not get the sub catagories listed in main when navigating.

Zen Cart 1.3.7
Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

I am using a template called freetemplate2 downloaded from http://www.zenflavor.com/free-zen-cart-template-2-wide.html

This template is exactley what I am looking for with this one eception.
Please help

in admin go to
Configuration > product listing.

Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating set to On..

Already tried that no help. I made changes to that as well as show cat in main. Still no help.

switch to classic template and see if that solves the problem , if so , then you have problem with your custom template .

Thanks I will try that now. It was working before so I assume it is going to work again. I will post results. Thanks Again
