Stuck trying to add info below footer banners

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to mod my site so that I can display a list of products that I sell on the mainpage ONLY.

I have managed to get the list in by modifying the tpl_main_page but I can't find a way for it to be visable on the main page only?

I found some reference to putting mods into the tpl_index but any change I made to this messed up the whole site layout.

Any ideas?

I also have a second change I would like to impliment but hav'nt had any success. I would like to move my wide footer banners so that they appear above the copyright & nav links? Is this possible?

Well The right way to do it is through the tpl_index_default, the tpl_main_page controls the whole site and is loaded on every page.
Are you referring to the list in the footer of the site???

You can use an IF statement to only allow you to display the code you want on the home page.

<?php if ($this_is_home_page) {?>

Your Code Goes Here

<?php }?>

Now since you have the code in the footer of your page I would try to use this code in the tpl_footer instead of the main page.
