A little help. Kinda serious

My issue.

I spent days and days setting up my store. I was about 90% done.

I didn't realize I couldn't set up a second store on same database.

Well now my almost complete store seems to be gone but is still on the server I just can't see it or access it. I now deleted the new site and want to know how can I restore my first store without having to start all over....

Is there a way to just reconfigure the old store in the database?

I am using cpanel.

thanks

Re: A little help. Kinda serious

how did you try to install second store ?
during installation of your second store .. did you supply same database information as your first store , including table prefix ???

More information on the steps you followed to install second store would help .

Re: A little help. Kinda serious

You can set up a second store using the same db, but the tables must have a prefix assigned during the install proecure, For example: store2_

If you didn't do that when you made the second installation then you completely overwrote the first install with the default Zen Cart database, and your first database is completely gone.

Your possible solutions are:

  1. If you took a backup of your first db then 'drop' all tables in the online db using phpMyAdmin and then use the Import tab to import your backup of the original db.

  2. If you don't have a backup then ask your hosting company to restore from the most recent db backup they have.
