Error during database upgrade

Search around, but couldn't find anything......

Finally upgrading from 1.3.0.2 to latest...

Doing it on a test domain and database so I can learn the process...

when I actually get to the database upgrade in zc_install....

For each step I get this error

in:
[select admin_id, admin_name, admin_pass from ef_admin where admin_name = 'my user name']

that is all that is on the screen for each step.

The user name IS correct..

If I wait a little while... and restart the zc_install index file....
it appears the database upgrades successfully...

I can log in, everything is there....

Thoughts on the above message??

I've seen that happen on a couple occasions. The simplest workaround is to do only ONE checkbox at a time in the upgrade stages. Yes, that means retyping your password each time, but the error message should not appear that way.

actually that is what I am doing and I get the above message on every step.....
