Column Layout Grid for Product Listing > Sort order bug

No matter what sort order I give my products, it seems to sort alphabetically. I've looked in all the configuration options I could find for sorting products..

Does this mod disregard the sort order settings?

The reason I need sort order working is that our website sells many different brands, but I want to emphasize our brand by making it appear first. I would prefer to do this the non-micke-mouse way , but if I have to I can precede each product with a blank space or something so that it appears first..

Have you taken a small look here:

Admin panel/ Configuration/ Display Product Listing Default Sort Order

Mine says , "2a" which is the default. Should I change that to a different value?

I looked up the 2a thing... It does sort by name, but the sort order does not override it.. Is there a way to sort by "sort value" ?

The Product Listing settings are in the Configuration ... Product Listing ...

admin panel/ configuration/ product listing/ model

1. Turn on Model ... set to 1

Go to your website and click on a Category of Products that have a listing and click on the title Model until it is sorted correctly ...

Look in the URL the (address bar) for the sort=XXx

That is the Sort Order to set for:

Display Product Listing Default Sort Order
Product Listing Default sort order?
NOTE: Leave Blank for Product Sort Order. Sort the Product Listing in the order you wish for the default display to start in to get the sort order setting. Example: 2a
