Authorize SIM - (97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

I only have the SIM Authorizeit modules on, check/money order, and paypal ipn on in my payment.

Ive checked to make srue the MD5 has is correct on bth authorize site and in config, ive removed config, and started again, and now i can click "credit card" in my check out, but there is no credit card number field when i go to the final step.

I get this error

(97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

The Authorize.net documentation says this about error 97:

97 - This transaction cannot be accepted.

Applicable only to SIM API.
Fingerprints are only valid for a short period of time. This code indicates that the transaction fingerprint has expired.

On first glance, this looks like a timeout to me.

Probably best to contact Authorize.net support and ask them what's wrong with the transaction data.

They said the request is not even getting to them.

When i go to make an order, i click on credit card, then go to the next page, but there is no where to put credit card info...
i hit next, and i get that error.....

If you go to the site lincoln-paintball.com you will walk through the order process, after i hit "credit card" as type of payment, it goes to the next screen but there is no play to put a credit card.

Have you tried using the more-secure and highly-preferred AIM module instead?

i dont have SSL on my site, dont know how to do that...

so i wanted to go with the SIM first and make sure it works..

its weird, i have it all setup, but when i go through the ordering process, i click credit card, but on the next page there is no where to put my credit card number.

Re: Authorize SIM - (97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

Since SIM module takes you to the authorize.net website to enter the credit card details, you'll have to contact authorize.net for support about why that's not happening for you specifically.

Re: Authorize SIM - (97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

Are you referring to the "checkout-confirmation" screen?

See, the challenge of using an off-site payment method such as SIM is that the customer has to leave your site. Thus, the checkout flow is broken up. The redirect happens AFTER the confirmation screen.

In the case of SIM, the flow is this:

  1. Checkout-Shipping (choose a method)
  2. Checkout-Payment (choose a method)
  3. Checkout-Confirmation (review payment details before clicking Confirm to go to site to enter CC info)
  4. redirect to authnet site, to enter CC details on the authnet website
  5. return to store with Checkout-success

If you use AIM or another live gateway that collects CC details directly on your site, the checkout process is cleaner and less confusing:

  1. Checkout-Shipping (choose a method)
  2. Checkout-Payment (choose a method, AND enter your CC numbers/details)
  3. Checkout-Confirmation (review payment details, and when you click Confirm, the payment transaction is handled silently in the background)
  4. Checkout-Success screen appears with confirmation of payment being accepted.

Re: Authorize SIM - (97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

I've never seen that kind of problem specifically. Maybe your server can't calculate the fingerprint required for the SIM module to work.
Who are you hosted with?
Have you at least tried the AIM module?

Re: Authorize SIM - (97) This transaction cannot be accepted.

What timezone is your server located in?
What timezone are YOU in?
Perhaps the "expiry" is a result of your server being too many timezones away, such that when it calculates the fingerprint to send with the SIM transaction, it's already expired?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?
What addons have you installed?
