change prices

I'm surprised this one hasn't been asked before (or if it has i can't find it!)

A client has a few hundred products and needs to change the prices.
All prices are the same and need to be changed to another same amount.

Manually changing is out of the question so ... what's the easiest/ quickest way of doing this?

Open the DB file and search/ replace?
Is there a mod?
Is there something built in? - I looked at price manager but could only find single updates.

I do not use this from experience but do a little investigation on this and search for the thread before you attack

As I said, I couldn't find anything - maybe it's the forum being lame at searching relevantly or maybe it's simply me not googling the right phrase - either way it wasn't an attack!

I'm not very comfortable with directly changing the database, so I'd do this by downloading a data set from your products using the free version of Easy Populate, then making the change in Excel, then uploading the changed file. Should take just a couple of minutes. You can find EP in the Free Software Add Ons. I used it to populate my sites with data and it worked fine.

First thing I tried AFTER BACKING UP ALL MY FILES AND DATABASE was Quick Update.
It totally did the job perfectly. i haven't tried it all but it looks very powerful.
