maximum product name length in centerboxes and sideboxes

I can't find it in the admin where this can be set?

is it possible?

I am not talking about maximum possible name length in the database, but only the displayed name length, so when the name is over maximum "..." is displayed at the end

thanks

do you mean your products Name or Products Description when viewed in listing ?

I'm talking about product name displayed under the product picture in the Featured, Specials and New Products centerboxes on the main page

the problem is that I have made a fixed height for the centerbox items (centerBoxContents, etc...) so if the product name is to long - to many lines of text - it goes over the bottom border

I would like to limit the product name length to approx. two lines of text which would fit just fine, but only in the centerboxes, product listing and details can remain as is.
