Unable to edit customer records via admin area

I have imported data from a 1.2x installation into a fresh 1.38 installation. Everything works fine but we cant update/edit any of the existing customer data from the admin area. records show but cant be edited. New customer records dont have this issue. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Old host was located in Australia, new host is U.S Based

I found the cause, the address book data was missing OOPS

If old DB was upgraded correctly you should not be seeing this issue.
