Oh, just to confirm, you did tun the script from your store and not your localhost, didn't you?
The reason I ask is because the script results are contradicting the error messages you reported.

I had to leave it on sunshine cost so not to loose orders
i tested it again today and if i put to to wide bay fastway not working, but still ok on sunshine cost. i will pm login so you can change to wide bay for testing
sunshine cost is close to wide bay so there should be no big problem for now

Please don't take this personally, it is a general comment/request to anyone seeking help, especially from me. Please, please, please never ever send me login details for any site unless I specifically ask for them (which will be a very rare occurrence and usually equates to a chargeable job).

The reason is simple. Security!

Yes, I know many people feel they can trust me with this data, and it is true, you can.
What can't be trusted is the possibility of this same information from being leaked, sniffed or otherwise compromised after it has been sent.
OK, the risks are small, but they do exist. They won't exist at all if it wasn't sent needlessly.

The other reason I don't like having other peoples login details is because if I never have them I can never be accused of leaking them in the off chance the site gets hacked via a weak password.

Simply put, whilst I appreciate the faith involved in providing the details in the first place, I don't want the extra responsibilities that comes with it.

End of rant.... Now where were we?

Who would have thought that the FastWay code for "Wide Bay" would be "BDB"? It seems that I've managed to code it as "WDB".

I've taken care of this one serverside by testing for 'WDB' and converting it to the 'BDB' expected by the FastWay servers.

Not in the foreseeable future.

Their current web interface doesn't allow for data scraping, and their XML toolkit is only available to DHL account holders.

Anyway, i Couldn't remember the file names because im not in front of the computer (update_product.php). :-) Nothing wrong with your module, but autotweet stopped working in the update_product.php file so trying to figure it out.

The ozpost updates could cause this if you have made changes to the file(s) after installing ozpost. If this is the case there are a couple of solutions that will prevent you from losing them during the ozpost updates.

Solution A:

  1. Uninstall ozpost. (just the admin keypress. No need to remove files).
  2. Make your changes.
  3. Re-install ozpost.

Solution B:

  1. With ozpost installed, locate the file you need to modify then select the _restore version of the file (eg: update_product.php_restore).
    2 Modify this _restore file.
    3 Uninstall/reinstall the ozpost module (again, just the admin keypresses, no need to mess with the files).

Hi Rod,

I hope you got airconditioning :-). I am testing the ozpost for a new client using the e-go.com.au shipping option. Unfortunately everything is out of line with the quotes that e-go.com.au provides on their web site. Let me explain:

  1. OZPOST V3.4.1
  2. When adding items ozpost shows on our example the total cost of shipping as $74 to Perth (includes $5 P&H) (can send you all details if want)
  3. On e-go site shows as follows:
    a. add items individually total cost :$103
    b. Add items as one big carton cost: $132
  4. Also to confuse things further someone already ordered the same products that we tested and they were quoted and paid for shipping on checkout only $48 . I thought that this may have been a problem of connecting to server but then I realised that the module is setup to charge $25 per kg and the item was a total of 17 kilos that could not have been either.

Any ideas why such big differences on the prices to start with and what happen with the $48? If you need access or further please let me know.

Please provide a link to the example items. Left to chance I'll never pick the right one(s).

Also, when adding items on the e-go site, are you adding to the item dimensions as well as the weight?

What dimensions/weight are you entering on the e-go site, and do these match the weight/dimensions that you've entered into the shopping cart?

Also e-go? Was this exactly $48, or are you rounding? (quite often, in order to figure out what is going on I need to use exact figures. otherwise the best I can do is say 'it might be thism or it might be that').

Don't forget, we run 3 different servers on 3 different networks, so if you ever have a problem connecting to all of them, you probably have something a lot more seriously amiss than just the ozpost shipping module.

At the moment the only idea I have is that your weights and/or dimensions are not what you think they are.. IOW, the data you are entering into the e-go webpage isn't the same as what is being sent to the ozpost server(s) for the same product(s). This is why I need a link to the product(s) as well as the information you are entering @e-go.

The server is receiving 1.65kg 122mm x 452mm x 452mm. After rounding up (to protect the merchant) the quote requested is for a parcel 2kg 13cm x 46cm x 46cm.
The quote returned from both ozpost and e-go is $21.18

The TARE weights and dimensions are causing ozpost to quote a little higher than if you entered the 'raw' data into e-go, and the rounding up of dimensions may also cause ozpost to quote a little higher. The only thing I see that would cause underquoting is the apparent discrepancy in the dimensions of the Weber Kettle.

Other than this, things appear to be working correctly.

Hi Rod,

My sincere apologies for all that. After your reply I remembered the debug function of the OZpost module . I turned it on and realised how it calculates multiply items( which is similar to what you said ). After using the info from the debug the amount was exact the same :-)

I am still not sure what happen with the $48 but now I am worried if the client did something stupid and then realised, fixed it and never told me. In anycase it was worth the excersise as now I got an even better understanding of how ozpost with e-go works :-)

Anyway my apologies again and as always you have been a great help :-)

Hi Rod,

An odd one for you. I created a new site for our favourite horsey shop, for some new products. It was a clean install of 1.3.9h, without any of the old data for products or customers. In other words, a fresh start. Nevertheless, the product input fields contain the "products_height, products_length, products_width" fields, which I think come only from OzPost. The OzPost files were uploaded as usual (v2.0.5) because I thought J wanted it, but when its Install button was clicked I got a warning about cURL not working. I left it at that as the site was in limbo at the time. Now J is entering, or trying to enter, new products and is getting the following warning...

I'm guessing the DB was modified during the incomplete OzPost install. But I can't hit the Remove button because it's not fully installed. J has decided not to use OzPost this time, preferring free shipping. So how do I get rid of the three dimension fields and the incorrect SQL command during creation of new products?

You must've missed:

/admin/includes/languages/english/product.php
/admin/includes/modules/update_product.php
/admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php

Yeah, I thought that too Rod. Since the fields still appeared I must have missed those files (even though I had just dealt with them.) So I did it again, and the fields still showed. So I came here and asked. Then, about 12 hours later, J emailed to say, "Whatever you did it is all fixed now." :blink:

Musta been some cache hanging around.

hi all, i installed the australian post modular recently but when i enable only regular post, it works properly. but when enable express post then even select regular post the system only charge postage as express post. Anyone using this module have this problem?
