Selecting multiple items before hitting 'buy now'

Hi,

I hope i can explain this well. I was wondering if the following is possible?

I would like to add a checkbox under the 'buy now' button on the Product Listing page, so a customer has the option to select multiple items and then select buy now and all items checked would go to the shopping cart. The only thing is that each product is unique, so only can sell 1 of each item.

Thanks in advance for your help!

thanks Kobra! It seems i already had that at 3...yet I don't have checkboxes. Here is my file...maybe there something else that's conflicting with it?

Thanks

Re: Selecting multiple items before hitting 'buy now'

You can either display "BuyNow" or the add to cart and qty box but not both

Re: Selecting multiple items before hitting 'buy now'

I know this is a very silly question and i should know this by now, but can't seem to take off the 'Buy Now' option. (sensory overload i guess)

I went into 'All Listing' and set 'Buy Now' to off and that doesn't work. Is this the right area to do this?

Thanks again!

Re: Selecting multiple items before hitting 'buy now'

Well I think I found out what the problem is and this unfortunately takes me back to square one.

When I set up my products I selected 'Do not show quantity box' , since I have only 1 of that item.

If I select 'Show quantity box' it allows the customer to select multiple items at once under the Product Listing page, but if they enter more the '1' in the Add: box since they are unaware that there is only 1 item available, it may be frustrating for them when they go to checkout and see warnings about product availabilty.

I was hoping i could just place a checkbox without having them to enter a quantity.

Re: Selecting multiple items before hitting 'buy now'

ahha....i think I figured it out...not my idea setup, but works.

If I set the 'Product Maximum Qty' to '1' it shows up under the Add: box on the Product Listing page. The customer will still have to enter the number 1 though.

Also, looks like i have to go back and change it with every product. anyway of doing it all at once?

thanks
