Canada Post timeout on large orders

My Canada Post Module works well for small orders but times out for large orders. There seems to be a time out mechanisms that kicks in after 30 seconds. I've talked to Canada Post and they said that they are receiving my info and returning an answer but it can take up to 45 seconds. I have exhausted the possibility that my host or the port is causing the time out and just emailed one of the modules creators.

The maximum time for transactions set in my store is set at 2 min. so I suspect there is a 30 second time out built into the code of the module or of zen cart but don't know php.

I will post again if I get any answers and would appreciate more suggestions.

It works for small orders, but Times-Out on large orders. Something is stopping the process at 30 seconds. I talked to Canada Posts who said that they were sending a response but it took 45 seconds.

Canada Post sent me their logs, I sent them to my host. The hosting company (Host Monster) tested the port and said there was nothing stopping the process on their end.

I increased my Maximum Execution Time in my Admin<My Store to 2 minutes. Nothing increases this time out! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have a look at this thread. Not definitive, but might get your host started on looking for an answer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did see that and had my host explore that option. Interestingly, it seems that the problem is with Canada Post itself. Have you tried to get live quotes from them?
