List of Tradesmen

I´m making a hardware site, just as a showcase, and want to have a list of local tradesmen in different categories for customers to use.. eg, Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician etc.

One way I thought would be to just set up Categories and Products as per normal with a ¨Call for price¨ but how would I stop the tradesmen appearing in the normal product listings?

Any other ideas?

Are you putting the tradesmen in as manufacturers or just as categories?

If you just use them as categories then they shouldn't show up in the normal listing, but if you put them into the manufacturers area then I think there is a setting where you can tell Zen Cart not to show the Manufacturer in the listing with an admin setting under Configuration.

I thought I´d make the Categories Plumber, Tiler etc, and put the tradesmen in as Product. That way I could include a picture along contact details in the text.
But I would want to eliminate those Categories from the normal listings.
Then I could make a side box just to list the Categories that had tradesmen in them.
