Export products as an XML file

I see this question has been asked before but I haven't yet seen a satisfactory answer. I don't want to generate an xml sitemap, with which I have no problem. What I want is to have my products show up on an online shopping mall (for want of a better word!) and for this, the store owner asks for a csv or xml file of my products with the product id, the description, photo, lead time etc. and then presumably he does the rest. How can this be achieved without extensive programming ?

Can't isn't the right word - Try looking at Product feeds in the Free Addons section.

It is possible to generate csv file via phpmyadmin...

EasyPopulate (in the Free Addons section) is a module which will allow you save in CSV format.

Might be a tad easier than using phpMyAdmin as EasyPopulate only deals with Categories / Products.

The learning is in the doing.

Might be a tad easier than using phpMyAdmin as EasyPopulate only deals with Categories / Products.

tried getting this to work on v 1.3.9d and no luck. does not show up in admin anywhere. uploaded per instructions in the readme.txt and instal.txt. Any help would be great!

Came across this when searching for "xml products export with zencart". Any tools/addons out there that can produce customized products xml? I need to submit xmls to several different price comparision sites, and they all have different xml formats. I can download products in csv or xml with phpmyadmin but then not sure how I can translate that to the required xml formats. any help appreciated.

The Google Merchant feed from Numinix

creates an xml feed, and although it produces google-proprietary tags it is fairly easy to change those/hack the code.

jaguarvib, I need to submit products info to few price comparision sites, and they all have their own xml tags for describing products

lol thats one bad answer... programming everything can be done almost... somebody just need to be willing to do it opensource and for free lol
