JPG to PNG

Hey Guys,

I have been working on speeding up my zencart over the last couple of days. The service I have been working with tells me to switch all my jpg images of products to another format such as png.

Does ZenCart Support PNG?

What takes more space JPG or GIF?

Thanks All,
Nick

A properly optimized jpeg or gif will not necessarily be smaller as a PNG.

You should use the image format that works the best for your particular situation - As a rule of thumb - jpegs are better for photos, gif are better for line art. PNGs have the advantage of being able to use for either, but claims that you should use them all the time?
