Need help "relocating my "download" folder

I'm using the most current zencart version.
:cry: I have read the tutorial over and over again for re-locating my download folder. I move the folder into my "home directory", but I think that may be wrong because nothing is happening.

I'm not completely understanding the tutorial.

I went into both files
-includes/configure.php
-admin/includes/configure/php

and made these changes
from...define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

to....define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', '/home/paradiseembroiderydesigns/download/');

Somehow I think that none of what I did is correct.

Could somebody please give me some direction...I'm totally frustrated with trying to get my downloadable products to work.:frusty:
