Attribute on text , Who appear chinese charatec ?

Dear sir,
I am using 1.3.8a version zencart.
i have some question about attribute on text, this field if fill in by chinese character will not appear in the web and also my customer order. They just come out with number & #.
How can i set this to accept chinese character will take in accout to send to my customer order?

all characters that are filed in your form are saved into database . in order to see chines characters your page and database need to be set in correct char set .
your current page charset is charset=iso-8859-1 , so i believe is your Database

you need UTF 8 char set for both database and your pages
try searching this forum for setting UTF 8
