WARNING :: Currency/Amount Mismatch

Hi

I'm using zen cart version 1.3.8a.

I'm having a WARNING :: Currency/Amount Mismatch issue with paypal.

Some orders go through, some don't, every time I try they go through fine, and had loads of people test, but no problems, but, many times when a legitimate customer buys via paypal the order is not logged in admin.

I have checked around loads and followed instructions on how to sort this, but I still don't figure.

Here is some of my log transcript, which clearly shows mismatch, but i'm not sure wwhat it all means, can anyone help with this?

Have you taken a peek at any of the Similar Threads listed at the bottom of this page?

yep, have had a goood look

still can't see if it is a zen cart issue, or paypal

can't see any other issues

from the log transcript, can you see anything obvious, why it might be a currency/amount mismatch?

the other thing too is that the other posts, listed below, are quite old, I have version 1.3.8a, latest version, the common reply to issues in the posts below is to upgrade, obviously I can't do this

Your log reports an amount mismatch despite the currency being the same.
In Admin->Localization->Currencies, which currencies do you have there? What are their exchange rates? Which one is default?
In your PayPal module, what do you have chosen in the Transaction Currency option?
In your PayPal account, what are your settings about currency conversions? Do you have it set to accept all currencies even if you don't have them opened yet?
Or do you have it set to auto-convert to the default currency? (This will cause mismatch problems, and should be avoided if possible.)

GB Pound is default, value 1.000000

Also there are Australian, Canaduan and US dollar and Euro

The Transaction Currency option is set to 'Selected Currency'

Sorry, I can't see where the currency settings are in PayPal?? I can see Currency Balance, but nothing to do with 'auto conver' - can you advise?

I have finally tested the system and it has failed. All other test purchases, for me, have been successful. it is just when some 'real' cusotmers make a purchase do we have problems.

The failure info is in log transcript below, fsockopen issue, can you advise how this can be fixed?

Ok, i just made another test purchase, completely successful, order came through, confirmation emails, everything, no issues, no time delay, exactly the same product!?
