Transferring DB to new server

Hi All,

After many long nights, I'm finally ready to transfer my site from my local machine to my new web host (Host Gator).
I installed a fresh copy of Zen-Cart, uploaded my custom template, and transferred my database.
I was assuming that once I transferred my database, all my products, admin settings, etc would be preserved, but they're not.

I can browse the DB using phpMyAdmin and see all my products and setting, but no products are displayed on my site or listed in admin. There is only one database installed, so I know I'm looking at the correct database.

How do I get all my products and settings transferred over?

But I currently have it down for maintenance. Unfortunately I cant' open just yet because I just transferred that domain from my yahoo merchant account and I don't want customers getting confused by the unfinished layout. Also, don't have ssl properly configured yet.

Maybe I could temporarily add your IP to the list.

Did you perhaps use a different table-prefix when you did the zc_install step, and thus the tablenames it's using are pointing you to the wrong set?

Dang, you are good!

After few hours of head scratching, I just figured this out.
I actually use fantastico to install Zen-Cart. Since it pretty much automated the install, I didn't realize it added a zen_ prefix to the tablenames. I edited the 2 configure.php files to remove the prefix and everything just started working like majic.

Only problem now is that I have a database full of duplicate tables. One with a zen_ prefix and one without. Can a wildcard be used to delete all those tables with zen_ prefix at once?

Use phpMyAdmin and check the box next to each of the tables you want to drop, and then choose "drop" from the pulldown at the bottom of the list, and confirm the action when prompted.
