Issue with product field showing some chinese characters

Does anyone know how to have Chinese characters show up on a page?
I have only ?? showing up for each characters...
Any help would greatly be appreciated :)

Not certain about this, but I think you may have to change the encoding which you use to view your browser in. Have a look under View > Encoding, on your browser menu.

It may also be that your database doesn't recognise the characters?

Thanks for your reply, I switch the encoding to UTF-8 unicode for better compatibility but nothing shows-up...
I did have a lot of problem getting the characters to show up in the database, I just needed to choose the right coding for the field (unicode UTF-8).
I do not have experience with collation on the products table, the collation is still Latin encoding and not unicode
But at least now, it shows-up in the database but not in the website.
I am lost and starting to have a huge headache....
I have more than 1800 item to change if I can't seem to find an automatic bulk solution. Argh!
