custom medium image not appearing correctly

Hi, I have a product with the following images in these directories;

images/talkingsw.jpg
images/medium/talkingsw_MED.jpg
images/large/talkingsw_LRG.jpg

the medium and large images are custom size images, the large shows perfectly fine with the sizes I specified it to be, however the medium image won't show correctly, it seems to be the auto scaled size that is set as 250x250 in zen cart, however I thought that sizing the images and uploading them through ftp by-passed auto scaling and the odd thing is that this isnt happening with another product, whose med and lrg images are all appearing as i specified. All images are in the correct directories. Really can't understand why the medium image isnt appearing correctly for this product, yet is for another I added a while ago. Also just tested this problem with adding a new product and the same thing happens, lrg image is size specified but medium image is zen cart auto scale size. Please help!

Re: custom medium image not appearing correctly

*MODERATOR NOTE: This is a duplicate post. Please refrain from double-posting the same issue in multiple places. Here's why: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.php

This is a prime example of why not to double-post. See, there's no reply to this thread, but there are replies to another one, which is identical. Suppose someone goes looking for this question because they want an answer too ... they find your post with a question and no replies. That's useless to them. It's a disjointed, unfinished conversation, but there's a full discussion and conclusion in another duplicate elsewhere. And, since you didn't tie them together, the one with no replies is just taking up wasted space. That's why we dislike duplicate posts. Instead of posting the same thing in multiple places, add a reply to yourself at the first one and add additional information which you didn't include the first time.

Please find discussions and answers to the above question at the other identical post here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123596*
