main page layout

hi what it it I want to do is on my main page other than having my info is have a box with my categories in it as I will be setting them up with pictures is it possible?

I am running ver 1.3.8 and have the pretty in pink template on if that is any use....

There are a couple of settings in the admin > config > layout settings area that will assist in your categories showing up in the center...
You need to assign an image to the cat when creating it for this to happen.

Look for categories show on main page or similar

ok I had a look on the admin page and under layout boxes setting there is only the choice of sideboxes and the catergories one is active as a list at the left hand side and then there is document categories. but this is a side box.

all my categories have pictures so thats is done.

any more idea`s?
