Deferred Payments or Deposits for Expected Products
Hello,
I recently installed Zen Cart, so I'm just starting out!
A lot of products I want to list are items that we're currently in the process of manufacturing. I'd like customers to be able to log in and place pre-orders where either no payment or a small deposit is all that is required and then at some later date when the products are in stock, an email is sent out, they can log in and complete the transaction and pay any outstanding amount.
What would the typical way to approach this be? I've been looking through the available add on modules, faq, admin section etc and haven't had a lot of luck yet. I have found a 'Products Expected' item under the catalog menu, and was able to set a date etc (although I am still looking for the setting to make these visible as it hid the product).. However, even so, I don't think this does what I want.
I'm ordering the manual.. but it will take a good week or so before it's here. So thanks for any help!
