Using sideboxes or parts of zencart on external sites?
Ok, not sure if this is possible, but I figured I would give it a try.
i have been using Zencart for about two years, and have loved it so far. The time has come though to revamp my site.
Instead of scrapping zencart and rebuilding a site from the ground up, i have decided to use zencart as the commerce engine of the site, and I woudl like to incorporate other aspects of ZC into my site. I have incorporated zen cart my personal website - http://www.loganhicks.com but is a straight forward incorporation The only part of the site that is zencart is the 'store' section. Nothing else is linked to ZC
For my current site though - http://www.sabotazusa.com I would like to incorporate some features of Zencart (such as the sidebars, banners, etc) into different areas of the site.
So my question is this: Is it possible to just have a sidebox appear on part of my site, but nothing else? For example, could I have a straight forward HTML homepage, but then have just the sidebar for the mailing list appear on there too?
It doesnt appear that you can selectively link to ZC components, but I'd like to find out if there is a way. I would have thought that you could set up a site with frames, and link to just the sidebox, but I have had no luck accomplishing this so far.
Any suggestions? I have tried to find other discussions on forum about this, but have had no luck. If anyone has a link to check out, please let me know.
Thanks kindly in advance.
