Page width changed when I uploaded my site

Ok, I developed my site locally (on my laptop) and everything looked and acted fine. Today I uploaded the new site to my server and my layout went from a fixed width 1000px to a percentage width 100%. I don't want the page to be 100%, I want it to be 1000px.

The really weird thing is that my header is staying at 1000px but the rest of the page, including the footer, is at 100%.

Just to make sure I wasn't going crazy (although I do believe I'm going crazy) I went back and checked it locally and now my local site is doing the same thing.

Can someone help me figure out why this changed out of the blue.

I'd say that the most likely explanation is a naughty pixie has crept into your machines and removed your logo DIV, but left the closing </div> behind.

As a result your navEZPagesTop escapes from your headerWrapper, but more significantly the rest of your site escapes from the mainWrapper that normally constrains its width.

The page is back to normal. I actually had a closing div tag at the end of my tpl_header.php page that was not needed.

Now the only thing is my Logo and banner ad (I have it next to the logo) aren't showing up. I've checked my language file and put a direct url to the logo but that isn't working.

Any ideas?

Never mind I fixed it. The banner wasn't active (must have changed when I uploaded the files to my server) and when I activated it my logo all of a sudden showed up too.

Not sure why but it doesn't matter as long as it's there.

Above is link code to your banner...incorrect if you are now using domain for store..

I knew I was going to miss a few of those testing links. Funny thing is when I change it to the correct link it disappears. If I put it back to localhost it works....

... probably becuase you're still viewing everything through "localhost" (your own machine, so it calls that reference) - but the public won't be viewing through localhost...
