image appears outside of wrapper

I hope someone can help! I've been trying to figure this out for over two days. I've searched everywhere in the forum and everywhere else.

I followed the instructions I found in the postings and added a flash .swf file to my main page. I only wanted it on the main page. The flash is working fine, but now the flash is showing up on every page, off the page to the right, OUTSIDE the main wrapper.

I edited the includes/templates/mytemplate/common/tpl_main_page.php. and also edited the define_main_page.php in define pages editor in the admin control panel.

My site is still in its beginning stages, but here's the URL: https://www.sloanebrowndesigns.com

Here's the portion of the code I edited in the includes/templates/mytemplate/common/tpl_main_page.php.

require($body_code); ?>

<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/cold_steel/jscript/swfobject.js"></script> <td id="flashcontent"> <script type="text/javascript"> var so = new SWFObject("includes/templates/cold_steel/images/flash/sloaneCenterBox.swf", "sloaneCenterBox", "550", "600", "7", "#ffffff"); so.write("flashcontent"); </script> </td>

Here's the code from the define_main_page.php in the admin control panel...

<table width="890" height= "600" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td id="flashcontent" width="550" height ="600" rowspan="2" valign="top"> <script type="text/javascript"> AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','width','550','height','600','src','includes/templates/cold_steel/images/flash/sloaneCenterBox.swf','loop','false','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','bgcolor','#c3b798','movie','includes/templates/cold_steel/images/flash/sloaneCenterBox'); //end AC code </script> <noscript> <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0" width="550" height="600" align="top"> <param name="movie" value="includes/templates/cold_steel/images/flash/sloaneCenterBox.swf"/> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="LOOP" value="true" /> <param name="BGCOLOR" value="#c3b798" /> <embed src="includes/templates/cold_steel/images/flash/sloaneCenterBox.swf" width="564" height="500" loop="true" align="top" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#c3b798"></embed> </object> </noscript> </td> <td width="36" rowspan="2"> </td> <td width="296" height="150"><img src="includes/templates/cold_steel/images/Large-Double-Hoop-Chandeliers.jpg"width="265" height="245" border="0" valign="top"/></td> </tr>
   <tr>
          <td width="296" height="150" valign="top"><img src="includes/templates/cold_steel/images/Triple-Loop-Blue-white.jpg" alt="" width="265" height="245" border="0" valign="top"/></td>
   </tr>
</table> thank you! [email protected]

Re: image appears outside of wrapper

before editing any template code , there is a tutorial / FAQ to look trough . you don't need to modify those files to add flash .

first , js files loads in head . not body , unless specifically needed, in this case SWFobjec.js needs to load in head.

look at your page using source view , you have TWO calls to swf .. one using swfobjec.js , that is embedded in body , thus showing up on all pages and you have another that is set in define_main_page.php .. which also has errors.

my suggestion .. revert back to what your original files were before adding flash . load swfobject.js in head and follow what need to embed your flash . to learn how to load js files in head , look up tutorial and FAQ .

Re: image appears outside of wrapper

thanks so much for your response. I gotta tell you, almost every step along the way has been extremely difficult. I supose if I didn't want a really customized look, the Zen cart "might" be easy. My experience so far has been painful at the very least. Without knowing PHP I can't image anyone having an easy time with zen cart. After many weeks of research and implementation, I've hardly gotten anywhere. I'm gonna go broke at this rate, so I think I'm throwing in the towel on Zen Cart and might try a program using ASP.net or something that is more logical. Thanks again for your help.
