Orders not showing up since host changed servers

Hey guys,

So my shops been running well for while and host moved servers on night. Finally DNS back to normal and people purchasing products but it doesn't show up under new orders and I get emails with receipts etc showing and money in paypal.

What's going on here?

Check that both config files reflect the proper paths.

Alright I'll check those, if it's in public_html/ should I write that or no for some of paths.

Also a customer told me when they make purchase it doesn't even show up in their account, they get no receipt, only receipt is via paypal....when before they would receive a receipt and view what they ordered via their account.

I've checkced over BOTH configs and they are fine.

Customers complain they can't see their orders in their account either now.

What is causing this, buddy who hosts me said it could be something with cache....

................anybody? I'm willing to pay a little for someone to assist me with this if it's that big of a deal....I NEED to have this working for weekend since sales are incredible during weekend.

Nope, no changes required. So any clue what would be causing this now?

IF I must reinstall, is it possible to backup my 1,700 products and than restore them on new install?

I'd prefer to fix it though before backing up and reinstalling.

just a shot in the dark .. do you have a back of your zencart FILES before it was moved ?

if so , try to compare it with files on your server .. you might be missing a file , perhaps was left behind during move ..

It's the SAME server, we just moved server to a NEW datacenter.

It isn't paypal because customers can't even view their orders in their account on the site and I can't see ANY new orders and I've had 5 today.

No I don't have a backup before we brought server to the new datacenter.

If you're using Website Payments Standard (IPN), then NONE of your customers' orders will be activated in your store until PayPal's servers talk to your server (behind the scenes) to tell your store of the order.
Thus, if there's a communications block between PayPal's server and your server, you're not going to see those orders. That's why I suggested the troubleshooting I mentioned earlier.
If you'd rather not have that limitation, use the Express Checkout module instead of the Standard (IPN) module.

The trouble shooting for paypal didn't do anything.

ONLY thing it might be is I switched paypals so unverified...BUT it was working since start when it was not verified so it would be sort of odd that it randomly affected it now.

New thing I noticed, when I go to "Paypal IPN Tab" in navigation area in admin panel, it shows everyone who has ordered and how much was spent, but when you click orders or whatever on them, it says no orders. So it shows money being spent, just not the products being purchased.

I have a very similar problem. I will receive payment in paypal that only has the total of the order and not the items ordered. My zen-cart admin area does not show the orders at all.
One customer placed an order and paid by check and that order does show in my admin area.
This seems to suggest a problem with paypal "talking back" to the site hosting files.
Scratching my head how to trouble shoot though. One thread that I can't find anymore talked about checking with your hosting company to be sure a couple particular ports are open. Anyone have that info?

seen that. I went through it again and maybe this is the problem:

"If you use your PayPal™ account on non-Zen Cart™ sites or on eBay™, be sure that you have all "taxes" and "shipping" options disabled in your PayPal™ profile; otherwise these charges will be added to your Zen Cart™ orders and cause them to not match, and therefore they won't be released or added to your orders list. "

I have two versions of my site.
mysite.com has paypal generated buttons for each item and a shipping profile in paypal to charge shipping based on the order total.
And I have zen-cart set up at mysite.com/cart and am using paypal for payments.

This would seem to explain why the one order that I had in zen-cart that was a check/money order does show up as an order in admin.

Think this is the problem?

If you are using PayPal buttons to process payments and shipping/tax on ANOTHER site, then you'll not be able to use "PayPal Website Payments Standard" on your Zen Cart site. Instead, use Express Checkout. Then you won't have the shipping/tax calculation problems mentioned.
