changing item page URL

Hi

I've had a look about but can't find how to change the URL for the item pages, for example if I sell a book called 'Simple recipes' i want to see that in my URL

from
https://www.mydomain.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_25&products_id=73

to
https://www.mydomain.com/Simple_recipes.php
or
https://www.mydomain.com/index.php?main_page=simple_recipes

Or something along those lines so I have the item in the url somehow.

SEO URL's will do much of what you want within the rules.
There are a couple of free modules for this and you can seek a commercial module to do this also.
IMO the commercial modules do a better job but then they cost a certian amount

I'd suggest reading all about static URL v's dynamic URL before you start adding these mods. There are some pros and cons you should consider first.

After my current experiences with my site, i'm gonna get plenty of time to read up on these first, i've found some stuff that states that for the most part SEO/SEF URLs are pretty much not worth the agro if you take the time on the products and catagories etc.

I'll give it a better read up while site is on go-slow
