mass email system

im looking to mass email promotions to customers.

what im looking for is a desktop program that will email a html style email with promotions and offers etc to customers. the images can be stored on the net or send in the email.

what im looking for is to send a mass email to customers but not let other customers see other customers email address, ie send each message one by one but i dont want to sit here 5 hours doing it.

i tried the mail merg system through office but this didn't work, is their a program out their to do this??

Any eMail program on your Computer should be able to do what you want.

Find a way to get all the addresses you want to send to.
Open a text file and put them all one one line. (with Windows you separate addresses with a semi-colon)
In the eMail you are sending out, use your own address in the To field.
Copy the mail out addresses from the text file and paste them into the BCC field.

The above will send one copy to everyone without showing any eMail address other than the one use to Send.

More important though, if sending these eMails through your ISP or your Hosting account you need to know / find out if there is a limit. Most Hosters for example, have a limit as to how many eMails per hour can be sent.

For these type situations it is best to use a script that will send in Batches. DaDa mail is a good free one that comes to mind. Search for and take note that there is a name change; I just don't know what the new is.

ohhh so bcc wont allow the people recieving the email to see all the other email address its been sent to??

hum well i tried the bcc to myself (3 of my other email addresses) and the mail to email as my self and the emails never came through on the other emails which were the BCC emails :S
