Black Border to Middle Part of layout

i wanted to make the middle have a black border to connect the top to the bottom, how can i do this?
i only see a footer and header tpl

here is an example of what i wanted to do...i just cant find if its a div etc....

try adding left and right borders in the stylesheet for #contentMainWrapper

but no change...did i do something wrong?

Perfect that did it!

now i cant seem to get rid of that 10px white space below my header and the main body, and ideas?
I remember i disabled this area because the catagories were showing here, so i dont if there is a way to make it so nothing show up,....

ohh, i use Firefox as my main browser . and you should too..
download Firebug and web developer tool bar .. you will love it .. you can figure almost all your CSS related stuff using those tools and more.
