Quantity update empties cart

I'm using ZC 1.3.8. I have 2 products both defined with .01 units. When I update the quantity in the shopping cart with what should be valid value (maximum is unlimited and the product is virtual so no inventory), the product is removed from the cart and I get a "Your shopping cart is empty" message.

I'm baffled as the update was working intermittently at least, and now it is not working at all.

I hope my configuration is off but I've tried setting the minimum to .01 and 0 and 1 and I get the same issue.

Please help.

Sorry - the issue is the $ in my quantity. When I clear that out - I no longer have the problem. Just been looking at this too long and got used to the $.
