Setting up email for user groups

I have different user groups and wondered if I could have a email default for each user group please in addition to the standard email settings that are in there already as I don't want certain emails going to all subscribers because this would include retail customers but I want to send to Drop Shippers only in some cases.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Yes this is something I'm interested and a fair amount of others judging by the views on this thread.

I created a new table of my desired contacts in the database then inserted the appropriate info into the table 'query builder' on the database..

.. it said that there was an internal misconfiguration however when I tried to send a direct mail from the admin using this in the dropdown.

Can anyone further contribute on this??
