Charge tax on billing and shipping on store state

Hi Forum

First of all, awesome software! Thanks for the hard work put on zen cart!

I have been assigned the task of setting up our shopping cart to charge taxes when a customer ships an item to Florida... or the billing address is from Florida.

I know I can setup the tax basis to billing, shipping or store. I understand billing and shipping.... but I'm not sure about store... is that what I am looking for here?

I did setup the zones, for florida with its state tax of 6% and I had installed the local tax mod which I populated with the taxes of all of the counties of the state of florida... no issues there... The problem is that I would like to charge taxes on orders with billing address based in florida, or shipping address based in florida.

Event without the local tax mod, I can't get it to charge tax based on billing or shipping address.

So I'm not sure if zencart can do that, or would I need to write a module for that?

Wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but It triggered a spark that helped me solve my problem.

I just tried setting the tax basis to "store" and it worked. I just wasn't sure about the description or "store" tax basis, earlier. Once I saw the same description on that post you provided, it suddenly was easy to read. :blink:
