Add certain customers to Group automatically...

Using ZC 1.3.8a.

Is there a way for say, certain customers to be added to a particular Group automatically when they register?

For example, everyone with an email address from such_and_such.com would automatically be put in to the Such_and_such.com group. Therefore, at signup they could enjoy the 10% off discount that I had already set up for that group?

Make sense? Possible?

Thanks for the suggestion, Misty. But, if I understand that other thread correctly that method would add every new customer to a pre-determined group. I would like to add only certain people to a group.

For example, everyone from this.website would go into the this.website group and people from that.website would go into the that.website group and they'd have different discounts depending on their email address, [email protected] or [email protected].

I just thought it would be nicer than having the customer have to type in a coupon code. And right now we're having free shipping on everything via coupon code so it conflicts since they can't enter two codes during checkout.

Not sure if this should be a new topic but it's still sort of related.

Is it possible to create a coupon code that gives a customer a percentage off their total AND free shipping too? Or is this an either/or thing.

My thinking is then I could give a group of people a coupon code to use when they arrive at our site that gives them a percent off discount and also get the free shipping we're offering.
