Multiple Tax Classes reflectied in Shipping Tax
I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8, a new install. Everyday I am learning more about this fabulous software. My site is almost complete but I have this problem and could not find it mentioned here, nor in the FAQs nor a similar problem that I could use to solve this. I am sorry if I missed it. Here is my problem:
Europe has two different tax classes depending on the merchandise. Cds in the Netherlands, for instance, are taxed at 19%, sheet music at 6%. I've set up my site to handle all of this properly, including deleting taxes when sent to a non-EU country and so on. Also have configured the Zone shipping to handle all of this.
What I have not been able to do is to configure the Zone shipping to handle the two different tax classes. When shipping sheet music, I need to add only 6% VAT to the shipping cost, when shipping CDs 19%. When shipping both CDs and sheet music in one order, I need to add 19%.
I thought about using two different product types to handle this, but the Zone shipping does not differentiate taxes when handling different product types as far as I can tell.
I cannot imagine that this problem hasn't come up elsewhere. The easy solution is to just charge 19% on all shipping charges, but this is not fair to customers. Any solution that I have missed?
