pros and cons of adding languages?

I was curious as to what the pros and cons of adding additional languages would be. :laugh:

I am assuming the language packs available are so customers can choose to show your site in their language?

I do not know any additional languages but was thinking it may be a good idea to implement, however since I have customized alot of my site, what happens to the additional text? Does it just not display or will it display in English?

Anything that isn't included in the language pack will display in English (or whatever language your site is written in), sort of like the template override. You would need to translate your content (product descriptions, Privacy, etc.) into the other language.

Being in the US, we're in the process of adding Spanish to our sites.
