css editing - how to please - the simple way?

Hi
I keep seeing thing leading me to adjust the css settings.
I have the Microsoft add in on my windows machine, I also have coffee cup installed.

I know how to FTP with my core-ftp software.

But I cannot for the life of me work out hoe to get the code to alter and update.
I have tried the tutorial but still can't get my head around it.

Please help.
Thanks
Graham

Re: css editing - how to please - the simple way?

/includes/templates/CUSTOM TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css

You can edit this file using standard text editor (NOT MSWORD) or adobe dreamweaver or MSFrontpage.

After making your changes, save it to your local computer, then upload it to the proper (override) folder on your remote server.

I'd also suggest you install the Firefox browser and the Web Dveloper plugin, which will let you make temporary changes to the stylesheet and view them in the browser so you can see if it's exactly what you want.

Re: css editing - how to please - the simple way?

There are some nice programs out there to edit css and get a real time look at what it will change.

I use Adobe Golive CS2 (which is old now).

Maybe you could download something like this > http://www.blumentals.net/rapidcss/

That could make things easier to understand if you are new to css.
