Shipping Rates in Cart [support thread]

Do you know what all this means?

You need to upload this file from the mod:
includes/modules/shipping_rates_in_cart.php

I guess I must of missed that file. But I still have a problem.

I have my buttons back but my sub totals area is now showing as 3 white boxes and the text is white to.

I lloked at the PHP file for colours but could not see any. How can I change the colour of the box outlines and backgrounds to match my site?

Did you upload the stylesheet too?

The only files you shouldn't upload are:
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_shopping_cart.php
includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/shopping_cart.php

I am using 1.3.9. My website is http://gardenoffrancis.com.

I just installed this module and on the shopping cart page it is not calculating shipping, instead listing "n/a".

I tried changing a few things (what it displays, played with the shipping module, etc). For the time being I have re-added the "estimate shipping" button back on there.

What else can I do?

Hi,

It only works with simple shipping setups that don't require specifying an address first. For example it will work with Flat Rate, Per Unit and Table Rate, but it won't work with USPS.

Yes. Shipping in the sub-total defaults to n/a and no options are provided for choosing shipping cost based on zip code.

Really, at this point, I just want to know if what I asked "can" be done; then I'll find out what the parameters are for it and adjust my shipping options accordingly.

Another way to ask the same thing:
I want my customer (with or without logging in first) to be able to choose shipping method based on entering their country/state/province/zip just while viewing their shopping cart (they can change it later if they like - this is just so they know what shipping looks like before they sign up or sign in).

Never mind - I was playing an idiot on this one. I needed to fully uninstall the mod and I hadn't fully done it. As soon as I finished that up, the table automatically appeared.

I've found a small bug in the mod but don't know how to fix it!
It only happens with certain currency symbols such as Czech Republic Koruny.
The symbol translates to Kč rather than an actual symbol.
All works fine except for the total shown in the cart.

I think this strips the &#; characters but leaves the numerics in so the total shows a huge number!

Is there an easy fix to this or will changing the character set on the symbol field in the currencies table to utf8 fix the issue?
It is currently latin.

That symbol should've read & #75;& #269; without the spaces between the & and # not Kč

It's ok I've fixed it :clap:
I changed the currencies table and columns to utf8_general_ci and all is ok!

I have a quick question before I install this on my v1.3.9f.

Does this send the shipping cost to PayPal along with the order amount?
