Last sub categories in tabular format

Hi all,

i am trying to customize the zen cart v1.3.8 so as to show the last sub-categories in tabs.

currently it's showing them in tabs, but when we click one sub category other tabs disappears. please help me in how to keep them enable during browsing in the products under them.
