similar template

Hello,
i am trying to design a store in zencart in someways similar to 925e.com especially in the LARGE 2 main Sales Pictures in the middle, and i am trying to look up the best template that will be closer to what i have in mind, i looked at the default zencart installation and it will take a lot of php editing "which i am not good at", to reach what i want, my question is, anyone knows such templates and if not, how to make 2 pictures like that in zen cart "large and hyperlinked" right under the header?
Tnx

Re: similar template

No template will dictate how product images are displayed. You can see the free templates available for Zen Cart at http://(sorry, site offline)/. You can see them in action by using the template switcher pull-down.

Edit: I looked at the site you mentioned. I don't see why you couldn't do something similar. I'm sure someone using ZC already has. You'll have to be willing to do the work, tho.

Another edit: take a look at http://www.titaniumringshop.com/ (listed in the Zen showcase). They have a similar look to what you're asking for. It CAN be done!

Re: similar template

Tnx afo for the quick response,
you mentioned it is duable in zen cart, do you think by just using the admin backend of zen cart will take care of it, or do i need extensive php editing and coding, i am currently reading "e-Start Your Web Store with Zen Cart" so i wasnt sure if manipulating the site from the admin page only will help me design the site,
Tnx again

Re: similar template

Template has nothing to do with it.

includes/languages/english/html_files/YOUR_TEMPLATE/main_page.php

The above file is what you would edit to display what you want, on the Home page.

You can also determine some of the things shown / not shown on the Home page by using:
Admin > Configuration > Index Listing

Re: similar template

Don't forget the css. Most of the "look" is accomplished there.

Re: similar template

Ahhhh... Zenners helping Zenners.

I knew someone would know! Thanks, Website Rob, I wasn't sure which file needed to be changed and I was swamped at work (and then some). Dbltoe is right. The stylesheet (css) will have to be tweaked as well.

If you don't already have a template for your site, take a look at the free ones on the site I suggested earlier. The free templates can be a great starting point.
