Garble Goo! I am frustrated with a layour issue. Need help!

Ok...so Garble Goo was as nice as I could put it. LOL I just custom made a header and footer and background yadda yadda yadda. But now when I bring up my page there is some text just above the center column. I can't find where it came from and how to get rid of it. AND....if you look closely it appears as if the header has been uploaded twice and they are slightly off from each other and it looks funky. GRRR. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Which words? The horizontal list of your categories can be turned off in Admin. The vertical Contact Us, My Account, etc. is your tagline, and I suspect is part of a mod you've installed. You can add display:none; in the #tagline section in the style sheet to turn it off.

Are you referring to the horizontal category list, or the three vertical/large font links? Since the links appear to be hand-coded, I presume you mean the categories, which can be turned off in Configuration > Layout Settings > Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF.

Re: Garble Goo! I am frustrated with a layour issue. Need help!

I am referring to the, what looks like hand coded, links AND the image....if you look at the header closely it appears twice and just off of the one in the back and makes it look funky on the upper right hand side of the header.

I do not want to get rid of the links on the bar that you see. Those are fine. I am ok with those being there. It is the hand coded....yet.....I have NO idea which file to change to get that off of there. I have looked at all my css files. Oh....wait....could it possibly be one of the html files?

The two images are named header_bg.jpg and logo.gif. ZC's Classic template uses both. Usually the header_bg.jpg spans the width of the #logoWrapper, and the logo.gif is much smaller and sits to the left in the #logoWrapper.

Before you go much further in customizing your shop, I recommend you learn about ZC's template override system.
Search the FAQs/Tutorials for "overrides".

Yahhoo! I finally got it figured out. I had to modify the tpl_header.php Then upload it to my custom folder. It is all fixed now! WOO HOO!

Thanks for all the information. I appreciate the help!
