Orders sent to PayPal Processed but vanish (GoDaddy hosting)

I am using 1.3.8 on Linux hosted at goDaddy.com.

Everything has gone pretty smoothly until now. When test orders are submitted to PayPal IPN they are properly processed by PayPal and the customer is returned appropriately to the web site, but that is when things break down. The order appears to have disappeared. It does not show up under Customers>Orders and there are no entries under Customers>PayPal IPN.

I am pretty sure that I am configured correctly at PayPal and when I send a test IPN from the PayPal Sandbox it reports sending successfully to http://xxxxxxxxx.com/zencart/ipn_main_handler.php.

I had to go and change allow_url_fopen to on in the php.ini file but it did not seem to make a difference.

Orders that are submitted for payment by check look just fine.

Please help. TIA.

Re: Orders sent to PayPal Processed but vanish (GoDaddy hosting)

I am just using standard in the US so I don't think it applies. PayPal says they are supporting all the old APIs till september anyway so I think my problem may be something different.

Thanks! I made the change and the system seems to be working now. It seems to have taken overnight though for some reason. It is possible that it took goDaddy almost an entire day to cycle the webserver after I made the appropriate changes to php.ini setting allow_url_fopen to 'on'.

FYI ... Actually, the "allow_url_fopen" issue is not really required for PayPal use. That was an error in the help text.
