Banner Groups Not Showing

Hi All,

I'm starting to experiment with my banners but I'm having difficulty getting them to work correctly.

My setup is as follows: V1.3.8a

LayoutSetting ...

Banner_Box_All / BannersAll (set to right column in layout box controller)
Banner_Box_2 / SideBox-Banner:R1Banner (Set to right column)
Banner_Box / L1Banner:L2Banner (Set to Left column)

I am presuming that banners that are NOT in the same group will be stacked on top of each other in their respective sort orders?

My problem is that in my left column, L1Banner and L2Banner I am not getting two banners. Zencart will only show 1 banner from both groups. Not 1 from each above each other.

Have I done something wrong? I am presuming wrong or is there a problem with my banner modules?

The banner_box_all banner group is for static banners.
banner_box and banner_box2 rotate the banners in their group
(when there's more than one banner assigned to that group).

Hi, thats what I presumed ... however what is the standard layout for multiple groups in one sidebox?

I'l try to explain better...

Say for example we have the following,

BannerGroup1 - 3 banners associated A1, A2 & A3 - Sort Order 10
BannerGroup2 - 3 banners associated B1, B2 & B3 - Sort Order 20
BannerGroup3 - 3 banners associated C1, C2 & C3 - Sort Order 30

Banner_Box - BannerGroup1:BannerGroup2:BannerGroup3

Banner_Box being set to left column.

How should this show?

I'm presuming the main page would show the following...

eg.
Categories Sidebox
Manufacturers Sidebox
Information Box
A1-A3 (One of the three images)
B1-B3 (One of the three images)
C1-C3 (One of the three images)

If thsi is how it SHOULD be, Idefineetly have a problem as I am getting the following ...

eg.
Categories Sidebox
Manufacturers Sidebox
Information Box
A1-C3 (One of the nine images)

If you're wanting BannerGroups 1,2,3 to rotate in the same banner box, each banner will need a separate sort order set in admin/tools/banner manager:

A1 - 10, A2 - 20, A3 - 30, B1 - 40, B2 - 50, etc.

If you're wanting two more banner sideboxes for Banner Groups 2 & 3, you'll need to do some cloning. Ajeh gives a good tutorial here, post #6:
