Queries and site performance

Hi All,

Ok I had to admit I really don't understand the relationship between parse time and queries, but it's to my understanding that you can use this to measure your sites performance.

Anyway, my site has been performing a bit slower than usual. at times it seems ok and other times it slows down???

I've checked my settings and turned 'off' (set to 0) all categories that i am not using like Featured products, New Products & Upcoming products and it seemed to help a bit, but wondering if there is anything else i can do.

I use IH2 so my pictures are already optimized, so i think that's covered.

Seems plenty fast to me - .4 parse time, .04 query time.

Also seemed fast for me.
