ZIP or RAR for PC and Mac customers?

I am selling audio files, and can compress either as ZIP or RAR files. As these will (hopefully0 be purchased by both PC and Mac usrs, I need the option with the best dual-platform supprt. Which is best (and why, please, if you know, even if it is just "It works, and the other doesn't on Mac"...)

Use Zip.
I use RAR for my own internal stuff, but zip is pretty much universal. Macs use stuffit too, but nobody else does.

Does Stuffit support ZIP and RAR both? I think it does ZIPs, so it sounds like that's the best solution, but any other opinions or comments?

zip, because windows by default can unzip it without any additional software required.

Stuffit nowadays handles both ZIP and RAR, as well as several other formats.

As others have said, stick with ZIP if you want maximum compatibility.

Granted, I've always hated the zip decompressor built-in to Windows ... because it often fails to handle folder expansion properly.
But, that's another topic altogether.
