Brackets around prices in on attribute weights

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.

i'm having an issue with product prices which are shown along with weights as an attribute as follows.

250g
500g (+£3.50)
750g (+£7.00)
1kg (+£10.50)
2kg (+£24.50)

I'd like to turn off the brackets which are shown around the prices next to my product weights, however after turning these off in product_info.php and product_free_shipping_info.php they are still there. See below for how I've edited these two documents.

/define('ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_DELIMITER_PREFIX', ' ( ');/
/define('ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_DELIMITER_SUFFIX', ' )');/
/define('ATTRIBUTES_WEIGHT_DELIMITER_PREFIX', ' (');/
/define('ATTRIBUTES_WEIGHT_DELIMITER_SUFFIX', ') ');/

So as you can see they're just commented out.

However i suspect this might be something to do with the fact that I've applied the weights and prices as product attributes.

So please can somebody help with this?

Thank you

Nick

Re: Brackets around prices in on attribute weights

Hi, sorry for the delay. Had my head into some annoying lengthy but minor fixes lol.

I had a plugin in place for displaying options on product listings so it was very slightly different. so if you view the code below from 'Options on Product Listing v2.0 - attributes.php' you will see in bold  . These are where the brackets were previously in place and are forming spaces rather than brackets. And that was it really.

if ($products_options->fields['options_values_price'] != '0' and ($products_options->fields['product_attribute_is_free'] != '1' and $product_info->fields['product_is_free'] != '1')) {
// show sale maker discount if a percentage
$products_options_display_price= '** ' . $products_options->fields['price_prefix'] .
$currencies->display_price($new_attributes_price, zen_get_tax_rate($product_info->fields['products_tax_class_id'])) . '
 ';
} else {
// if product_is_free and product_attribute_is_free
if ($products_options->fields['product_attribute_is_free'] == '1' and $product_info->fields['product_is_free'] == '1') {
$products_options_display_price= TEXT_ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_WAS . $products_options->fields['price_prefix'] .
$currencies->display_price($new_attributes_price, zen_get_tax_rate($product_info->fields['products_tax_class_id'])) . TEXT_ATTRIBUTE_IS_FREE;
} else {
// normal price
if ($new_attributes_price == 0) {
$products_options_display_price= '';
} else {
$products_options_display_price= '
 ' . $products_options->fields['price_prefix'] .
$currencies->display_price($new_attributes_price, zen_get_tax_rate($product_info->fields['products_tax_class_id'])) . '
 **';
}
}
}

I now need to remove the plus sign from the same, but should be fine with doing that now. Although if I get stuck i will be posting again lol

Thanks again

Nick
